Student’s performance is deeply connected to self-esteem. Since students are very young, mistakes and achievements are tested, *and* these issues affect students’ self-esteem. Negative effects are very difficult to take out of the child’s mind. Success in students’ lives gives shape to their self-confidence. A child who has high self-esteem(, she or he) is going to have better relationships. On the other hand, the student who does not trust in her or his abilities, he or she will not have motivation to face challenges or even worse an academic life.

The book “¿Valgo o no valgo?” by Nubia Saffie Ramirez develops the important connection between self-esteem and student performance. In addition, the period *of* adolescence is analyzed because it is a complicated period *for* students. When students are adolescents, they need to be accepted by others, P they need love and autonomy. *Bad behavior*, alcohol and drugs abuse can appear at this moment. ((Is this your idea or the book's?))) These reflections are useful for teachers and parents,* showing a way for an effective education system in order to achieve students’ goals. It is important for teachers to know the importance of self-esteem in student’s performance. This knowledge can improve students’ performance. Also the book has many exercises that teachers can apply *to* their lesson plans. From the psychological point of view this text is fundamental for the research project about factors that influences SV on student’s performance. However the book needs more exercises that can be applied in the classroom and activities in the lesson plan.

Good information here. I would focus on organizing it all a bit more clearly. This is a book review and not an annotation, so break up the major ideas into paragraphs (I did this for you once). Think about how each idea relates to the others around it and make that obvious. At the moment, the review seems a bit of a jumble about the importance of self-esteem, adolescence, and critique of the book. Try to connect these themes more clearly and fluidly.

The author highlights different elements which affect students’ performance in tests. However he does not show a clear pattern ((pattern of what?)) and teachers cannot overcome these negative elements in students’ performance. ((is that your idea or his?)) On the other hand, this article is useful in terms of *its* recognition of negative factors that affect students. Consequently, the recognition of these negative elements will be helpful for teachers. ((In what way?)) The article encourages teachers to do their own researches about this negative elements and how to eliminate them. ((Actually, I don't know if this last sentence is true. Where do you see that?))

Overall, a good blend of summary and critique. I think you need to come out and say what his finding was, however, since that is an important part of the article.
