Transforming your summary into an annotation

Burns, J. David. “Will I do as well on the final exam as I expect? An examination of students´ expectations”. Journal of the scholarship of Teaching and Learning 8.3 (2008): 1-19. The author David J. Burns, a business teacher, researches the students’ results in comparison to their expectations at the Business College in Xavier University. Burns found that students’ expectations unpack self-handicapping a harmful factor for student performances. The author highlights different elements which affect the students’ performance in a test. However he does not show a clear pattern for the teachers in order to overcome these negative elements in the students’ performance. On the other hand this article is useful in terms of recognition negative factors in the students. Consequently the recognition of these negative elements will be helpful for teachers. The article encourages teachers to do their own researches about this negative elements and how to eliminate them.
